SO I finished my first day of classes and here's a list:

8:00-8:50~Written Comp-ok the teachers a little boring but doesn't seem to bad
9:00-9:50~Spanish Reading/Culture Class- I am so excited about this class...It's going to be challenging but interesting
11:00-11:50~Old Testament- I am also excited about this class b/c I do not know that much about the old testament and am excited to learn
12:00-12:30~Intro to Social Work and Social Welfare-I am also excited about this class. I am taking this class in order to see if I am interested in changing my major to Social work...Anyway that was my day but I did try out the college ministry at Englewood Baptist Church tonigt...It was pretty cool I will probably go on Sunday and then there is a couple other churches I want to try...I am nervous about picking a church...Pray for me....Goodnight

So so much has happened...I'll probably post more than once today to get it all in. I finished my first day of classes, four classes today. I'll write about them later. Right now Iam going to attempt to post picture of may things. One being that I got my cartlidge pierced. I've been wanting to do it for a while and Karyn and I were going to do it together, but Karyns a traitor(jk) and did it without me so i got one of my new friends, Stephanny, to do it with me. I just survived a game of capture the flag in this hurricane weather!!! As if I weren't wet enough, at the end my focus leader,katie, and I layed down in a huge puddle of water. Instead of snow angels we had hurrican angels. Yeahhhhhhhhhh! G-night

hey...i made it through another day! Tonight we had Let's make it real instead of Lets Make a Deal. They gave out a mini ipod, printer, dvd player and a bunch of random stuff. Tonight I talked to Libby and Tanya...it was great hearing from you too. Oh yeah and Mitch called but sorry mitch i haven't returned your call. I will though. Adios for now because I need to organize( I can't believe that actually came out of my mouth).

ok now that I am actually awake...i forgot to mention that I have already lost my one of kind genuine Union University Dawg Tag(ID card). Yes thats right...I lost it. Those of you that know me shouldn't be surprised. But Tanya it was not my keys. Anyway I am having an amazing time, although it does feel a little/alot like camp. Adios for now

*I Made it!
So I made it through my first official week of college. Yesterday was great and I met so many people. My roomates are: Robin, Barbara, and Joy. We just did a bunch of random stuff yesterday to begin orientation like a hilarious show the leaders did(almost like late night at camp) and we played big booty and stacks(where you have to sit on other peoples laps) in our small groups. Anyway more to come with pictures of my roomates and dorm room. Im going to breakfast then chapel.

So my new profile is props to Meaghan b/c i gave her my info to do some stuff on my blog and she thought it would be great to change my profile. Meaghan, the only reason I noticed is b/c i went to comment on yours and it said my name was k.p is cool instead of Katrina

Well since I am leaving for Union this Saturday, I thought I would actually try and keep up with this so the people in Brentwood would know what is going on. But I am making no promises. Tonight I went to Kairos(I saw traci there...yeah) and it was a break from everthing thats going on in my life...it was the encouragement i needed. As I think about Saturday, I feel anxious, excited, sad, nervous, overwhelmed, scared and so much more. It feels as though i am moving from Indiana to Tennessee all over again. I have to constantly remind myself how God totally was in control and how amazing its been and I know that he will continue to be faithful.
So Iam reading a novel right now called Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. Its definately a girly book but it is also an amazing story of grace. Its a madern story based on the book of Hosea. God remind how I need to show grace to the people in my life that are closest to me and yet hurt me on a daily basis. These people don't know God so how can I expect them to know what real love is. It brings back a verse that God showed me at Summer camp from Hosea, "Love her like the Lord loved the Israelites, even though they loved other Gods." My heart aches for the people who do not know that kind of love...all I can do is try to give them a glimpse of it in the way I live my life.
